Chad Bailey is a Teacher, Healer, Martial Artist, Writer, Performer,
and Athlete. He excels through his drive to learn and teach by example.
Chad is a Teacher of Life. The phrase, "The
Key to Immortality is First Living a Life Worth Remembering",
describes Chad's journey to bring harmony and achievement to the
people he meets on this path. Chad does research and continues to
teach college and private classes on Taoism, Eastern Philosophy,
Martial Arts, Alternative Fitness, Eastern Sports Medicine,Chinese
Tui Na (massage), and other subjects related to bringing life into
life.
As a Healer, Chad has worked in a variety of clinical
settings but has focused mainly on Sports Medicine and Incurable
diseases. Combining Exercise Physiology with Eastern Healing methods,
he assists athletes with efficient and effective training programs,
strong resistance to and quick recovery from injury, and enhanced
performance. Chad uses Acupuncture and Exercise Physiology as well
as Chinese Herbology, TuiNa (massage and manipulation),Applied Kinesiology,
Tai Chi and Qi Gong,Athletic Training and skills, Exercise Physical
Therapy Prescription and Personal Training Experience, and Taoist
Philosophy/Personal Empowerment.
In the Martial Arts, Chad has Black Belts in
four different styles. He teaches Progressive Arnis and Cadena
de Mano/ Kuntao Silat (Filipino Martial Arts), Tai Ji Quan and
Qi Gong, American Kenpo Karate, Tui Te and Dumog (Filipino Grappling).
He has also extensively studied Judo,Tae Kwon Do, Isshinryu
Karate, Small CircleJu Jutsu, Chang Chuan & Hung Gar Kung-Fu,
Shotokan Karate, Aikido,Ninjutsu, Muay Thai, Wing Chun, Gracie
Ju Jutsu, Tai Ji Quan (Yang, Chen and Wu styles), Hsing Yi Chuan,
Kali and Escrima, Pa Kua Chang,Kuntao-Silat, Pentjak-Silat,
Boxing/Kick boxing and he has just begun to study Brazilian
Capoeira. |
He does nation-wide seminars and is currently
filming a 15-25 minute video series outlining his Progressive
Arnis curriculum. He has done stunt work and choreography for
plays,videos, and films. |
His Writing: started through the world of non-fiction
martial arts publications and is now diverging to the main stream
non-fiction market as Science Fiction / Fantasy, Philosophy, Self-Help,well
as Sports and Medicine. He was a contributor and columnist for Rainbow
Publications, MA Training and Fitness 2000. He has also been published
in Black Belt, Ultimate Warriors, and Karate International and numerous
local, city and college newspapers.
As a Performer, he has taken a back seat to the
educational process butnow has the opportunity to grow. Small parts
in plays, martial artsdemonstrations, public lectures, martial arts
videos and professionalclub dancing make up his performing experience.
He is involved withTV and Films as an actor and choreographer.
As an Athlete, Chad has competed and trained for
boxing, Kickboxing, martial arts forms and sparring competitions,
basketball, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, wrestling, and bicycling.
He also enjoys scuba diving, surfing, windsurfing, and rollerblading.
He is looking forward to skydiving in the next year.
Chad believes that, "Nothing is Impossible to the
Willing Mind". He knows he can do anything he sets
his mind to. As his Taoist teachers always told him, "A Journey
of a Thousand Miles begins with a single step..."
